A must read for future and current leaders in business at any level

Shows how to easily attract the best people to your business and keep them around! Reduce turn-over, and become a great leader of people are great ways to improve your bottom line! Let the finance-lovers do the math, so you can focus on the people of your organization.
For all you science-lovers all advice is based on research and with plenty of references on every page! This is not just opinions, or current fads they discuss, they give you reasons why things work and why, and in which situations. There are also plenty of good examples of different real companies cultures and different leaders etc, but presented in a very non-judgmental, professional, and fun way! Also includes interviews with CEOs of great companies. Sometimes the writing gets very fun/artsy, showing the joy of the writer and which puts you in an amused and startled mood, but gets you thinking!
The best thing is the positive view you get of leadership. You don't have to boss anyone around. Being good to your employees in a whole variety of proven ways is often the best choice for your bottom line! The only thing that could be better with this version of the book is that some advice the book gives is a little oversimplified or outdated. For example in one small example they assume you can change your boss simply by telling your boss that which behaviors in your boss you don't like, and them giving him positive reinforcements when he does what you like. Boss-employee relations, and people in general are more intricate. But this is only one flaw I found in countless amounts of good advice and examples!
I think this book nicely aligns with "Loosing my Virginity" by Richard Branson, showing once and again that a good/positive business culture and rewarding and investing in your employees in generous, non-traditional ways will be good for business.

Great information, wish it was smaller

Great analysis into management and company behavior. If you've never heard of topics such as coaching or personality indicators, then this book is great as it's full of examples and case studies to support the sometimes vague concepts of the soft skills. My own personal issue and in no way detracting from the text: I do wish there was a smaller, condensed book of just the highlights without the supporting stories as I'd like to use this more but don't want to carry a text book around everywhere.

This book is really useful in understanding how to manage people. The theories in this book provides readers with a new perspective in how employees and humans think in the workplace. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to improve their management skills as this book provides insight on management on different levels.
