About the Author:
Aakash Neeraj Mittal, 22, was born in Moradabad and did hid schooling from Delhi. Currently, he is in his fifth year of undergraduate studies in Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Living amidst constant crime reports and women's safety issues, he was inspired to write a novel based on his close friends' experiences. With the intention of being a women's activist and bringing a change in the society, he has written his first novel, "It Wasn't Her Fault". His ambitions range from becoming a Financial expert to a Scriptwriter to a game changer of the Indian society, having complete faith on his destiny and the opportunities that come his way.

A Wonderful Read

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the love and friendship between the two main characters. We meet them when they are 5 years old. And we follow their journey as they grow up. I felt like I got to know Aahan and Kavya very well. And their families to. The way Aahan loved Kavya was truly amazing. When you get to the part in the book when Kavya goes through the awful rape it rips your heart out. It is also heartbreaking how women are treated in India after they are raped. The book also takes you into some India culture that was very interesting. This book was one of the best books I have read in along time. I liked the way it was written . You really have a feel for the characters in the book. Especially after Kavya tries to deal with the aftermath of what happened to her. I hope more people become aware of this book. It deserves to be on the Bestsellers list. Once you start reading you won't be able to put it down.
