Only 1 in 5.5 million males worldwide are born with two penises. However very few (if any) are born with two working, and by all accounts, attractive penises. After having managed to stay under the radar for over 20 years DoubleDickDude (or DDD for short) amassed thousands of followers on Twitter and Tumblr in a matter of hours. In fact Twitter (temporarily) suspended his account for replying to his followers too many times!

For the past year he has taken to writing a more lengthy and detailed account of his life so far. Very little could be detailed during a frenzy of questions from thousands on Reddit. DDD goes from discussing his childhood, and explains how he knew he was special at an early age. His parents support grounded him in his early youth. We find out how he lost his virginity and was exposed to his peers. From there he discusses his wild streak of sexual adventures fresh out of high school. Recapping his favorite questions and answers, discussing sexuality and acceptance DDD covers the gamut.

Don't worry, all the saucy and steamy stories he hinted at in his AMA are covered and then some. Like that 7-way orgy he briefly detailed amid the torrent of questions during his AMA. Not to mention the hunky straight gym jock who "went gay" and the poor girl who... shall we say, her lady place was a wreck after one time with DDD. It's all in there and more!

Written from first person perspective the narrative is raw, honest and often times gritty. Details are not spared and readers beware, naughty moments are revealed! The next time you see a man on the street with more than an adequate bulge in his jeans, it might just be DDD.

Bummer

DDD needs an experienced coauthor, or at least better editors. His life and experiences are fascinating but the book is a frustrating, clumsy letdown. I read the first two thirds in under an hour. The book starts off promising; while obvious that he isn't a professional writer, he does begin with genuinely touching anecdotes about his parents. The first third of the book goes downhill swiftly, with dull and clumsy storytelling that is still somehow frustratingly brief. There's no "meat" to them, no pun intended. The second third of the book literally reads like a collection of hardcore erotica. To his credit, DDD is much more in his element telling us about his sexcapades. This part of the book could stand on it's own as a collection of erotic short stories. The final third was frankly unbearable. It's just copied and pasted Q&A from reddit and Tumblr. The questions were not only repetitive but most had already been addressed previously in the book.

Sorry, DDD.

DD-Disappointing

Like many of you, I read this book because I was curious -- not so much about DDD's sexual exploits, but who he is as a person, and what shaped his world view. Sadly, I was terribly disappointed with Double Header, and I'll explain why I notched it 2-stars...

1. Grammar, spelling, punctuation, and the like. While I am by no means an expert on any of the prior, I am a voracious reader who can, for the most part, glaze past errors when they are intermittent and not overly distracting. The sheer number of them in this book, especially with a list price of $8.00, is unforgivable. It's true: there is no "perfect" book, but if there is a publishing house behind the release of this one (which I will touch on momentarily), they should feel terrible about the product they are passing along to readers and make every effort to correct them ASAP.

2. The lies. I can understand that most books, especially tell-alls, are typically padded for salaciousness, but the lies in this book (and we're talking silly lies without a real point) are so disappointing it forced me to call into question almost all of DDD subsequent claims. In the foreword DDD says that there is a publishing house behind him on this project and that he has signed away all monetary gains from the publication of his story and in turn the publishing house has moved mountains to protect his identity, except when you look on the page for the book, the publisher is listed as DDD Publishing. ::scratches head, raises eyebrows, tilts head, looks sideways::

3. The ludicrousness of DDD's sexual ventures. Okay, whatever. Maybe I'm a prude, maybe I'm a bit too white bread...but there are some stories in this book that just don't pass the sniff test (as a woman, with woman parts, there is one in particular that made me cringe due largely to the perfectly impractical reaction of his female partner). I'll leave out spoilers, for the sake of those buying this book, but if you do read it you'll probably know what I'm talking about...

4. The convenience of the stories (wanted to be anonymous, had passed away, 'I didn't get your name...'). Yes, I did the math. If DDD has been sexually active for 8 years, that's equivalent to engaging a new partner every 2.9 days (roughly); yet he says he doesn't have sex with strangers (despite the stories he shared being about perfect strangers and their encounters...). And of those 1,000 people, not one has come forward to either confirm nor debunk his claims despite the press he's currently getting? He claims this is because he doesn't use the internet, but the internet isn't mutually exclusive, so I find this hard to believe...

The list goes on, but for me, the horse is dead and I'm hanging up my beating tool.

I have my suspicions on DDD...but it all just gut feelings. I think the book is well meaning, and if you can gloss over the errors and if you're not opposed to graphic sexual stories, there is some beauty in message: That 'we' are not tiny freak shows, that 'we' are human beings capable and deserving of love, that 'we' are perfect because of our imperfections. I simply have a hard time believing the messenger, and ergo, for me personally, the message was lost. I wish DDD well on his journey through humanhood and I hope he comes out on the other side of this okay. Call it my gut, but have feeling that after the glow comes the storm, as so happens in cases like this (A Girl's Guide to Homelessness, A Million Little Pieces)... there are a lot of smart people on the internet.

Not for everyone, but I loved it.

First off, I have never read any of DDD's AMA stuff. I found out about this book from a third part on Tumblr, looked like something I would enjoy and I did/do. Still not done, yes you can read it quickly, but I am taking my time to enjoy his sense of humor. He is an inexperienced author, but that is fine, he is telling you about his life and is telling it like a person sitting down with you over coffee. Very personal (VERY PERSONAL..) and very candid. DDD does not hold back and IMO the reader is given something more for it. Not for everyone, not for the prudish, conservative or just unwilling to experience life. DDD lays it all out for you to take or leave with no reservations or apologies. Truly an enjoyable read, wish he would do short stories though...

City girl moves to the country and finds herself involved in a love triangle with two great but opposite type men..

I’ve love and can’t get enough of this author’s darker series and Stars Landing was the only series I hadn’t read of hers. It’s more on the lighter side and mostly is centered around the small town in PA and its close nit residence. Some of the books are more serious and others plenty of humor with each having some suspense in them. The characters all cross over into each of the books so we get to continue to see how a previous couple is doing even after their book.

We were briefly introduced to Sam Flynn and Annabelle Goode in the first book. Sam was Hannah’s childhood friend who she ran to when her stalker problem escalated. This book and all the future books totally take place in Stars Landing.

Annabelle comes to Stars Landing when she inherits herb farm from an distant Aunt. Sam owns the goat farm next door. For most of the book Annabelle dates both Sam and Eric who is the town mechanic. I am not a fan of love triangles especially when you really like both men (no worries though– Eric’s story is the next book).

There is some light suspense along with the romance and of course we get to meet more of the town’s quirky characters.

Adorable story with a little mystery added.

This is a very cute story. Anna, who just inherited an herb farm, finds herself torn between two completely different men who are smitten with her.

Sam is the sexy, dependable, reliable Hottie goat farmer neighbor, and Eric is the freaking gorgeous Manwhore, player, sexy, hottie who melts all women's panties and now has his sights on Anna.

This is the story of Anna figuring out which hottie is the hottie for her innocent virginal heart. I'm not giving anything away. Very cute story with a little mystery happening in the background. Looking forward to starting the next in the series.

What the Heart Wants - Jessica Gadziala

I have now read the first 2 books in this series by Jessica Gadziala. Can't get enough and am about to hit the third one. I love Jessica's writing style and her characters are so much fun.. Each is an individual and that Maud! lol She's a character. Centered around the town of Stars Landing the couples who are falling in love, like it or not, are very interesting to get to know. In this second book we have Annabelle, aka Anna who just inherited a farm from her aunt MAM. There are 2 hunks very interested in Anna and she likes both of them. Who will she chose??? Half the fun is in the slow burn while she figures out who her heart belongs to. :)

Clearly an outstanding work, but too theoretical

The thing I found very hard to understand though, were the initial chapters centered around "marginal opinion". I think the author builds on top of a an "assumed" foundation which is a demanding prerequisite indeed! Once the central idea of Net Present Value is well understood, then putting it to practice is far-far easier than to read through rest of the chapters. The case studies might be more useful though! But I haven't gotten to that stage yet. Since finance/investing is not my profession, I am inclined to review the book through the lens of practicality than through theoretical value - And that makes me critical of anything that is non-procedural information.

amazing work of finance and economics

Warren Buffet mentioned this as one of the most important works in investment and finance. It is an amazing read though one needs to go very slow.It has lots of details on investment, dividends, interest rates and correlation of all the factors in order to arrive at an intrinsic valuation. The concepts of marginal opinion, dividend discount model valuations, economics of dividends & interests as well as the detailed idea of impact of taxation are amazing. Indeed as John Burr Williams defines this book himself as a work for scientist & economists rather than a maxim for speculators. This book has been a foundation of investment philosophies of Markowitz, Buffet and many others.

An important work

The Theory of Investment Value is clearly an important work, as reflected in Benjamin Graham's citations to it and the prevalence of the dividend discount model in valuing stocks. The theories expounded in this book are of particular import to those to seek to by stock at a value less than the intrinsic value of a company as they determine it to be.

The book itself initially appears intimidating, as there are a lot of mathematical equations, but in reality, the math is nothing more than simple algebra, mostly different models related to computing dividend values going forward.

I found the book to be an interesting read, but it is highly theoretical in nature. The central theme of the book is that stocks are worth the present value of their dividends, paid in perpetuity. It does not discuss earnings manipulation, effect of dilution, securities with superior or inferior claim to payment, etc. Moreover, as Graham points out in Security Analysis, companies that have a high return on invested capital would be well advised to reinvest their profits, while less successful companies would be better off paying higher dividends (relative to book value). This would, of course, tend to make the practical application Williams' theory somewhat complicated, insofar as it makes computing future dividends more difficult.

Readers looking for a more practical guide to valuing stocks might be better served reading Securities Analysis by Benjamin Graham, or any number of more "practical" books related to stock market analysis, particularly as those analyzing financial statements to determine the intrinsic value of a company. Some readers might also find "The Aggressive Conservative Investor" by Marty Whitman and Martin Shubik to be a good read for a competing view, since the authors of that book take the position that, with respect to non-controlling shareholders, a company's stock is worth the net after-tax cash that they expect to realize in the future, whether from dividends, liquidating events, etc. However, if a reader is truly interested in obtaining an understand of how dividends affect stock prices, the book is a worthy read.

I really like this book. Its interesting and informative. However the author draws most of his information from the yoga tradition and sort of morphs it into ancient Egyptian, saying the Hindus got their spiritual knowledge from Egypt. I'm not sure I believe that, but I'll keep an open mind.

Not interactive!

If you are looking for grid logic puzzles, this is definitely that! Complex, puzzles that build on one another. However, the fact that the grids are NOT interactive is a downside for this book for kindle users. Unfortunately, the grids in the book are also images so you can't even use the annotation option to perhaps mark the boxes. If the grids were interactive, this would be a GEM!
